2nd Graders Love Hunderwasser

For this project I wanted to introduce students to architecture and landscape so who better to work with then Hundertwasser! On the first day of this project we looked at Hundertwasser's architecture and each student designed a building inspired by Hudertwasser.

On the second day I I reviewed the different aspects of landscape with them-Foreground, Middle ground, background, and horizon-line line. Then they added 3 lines for foreground, middle ground, and background and divided those sections intro smaller sections using vertical lines. Inside each of the sections we added different designs and patterns.

On the 3rd day we used Jackrichidson's fluorescent tempera cakes to add color to our landscapes and buildings. On the last day kids make a fun pattern border and add some Hundertwasser inspired tree's.
